valentine's day wreath

Wreaths are one of my favorite things to decorate our home with! Growing up, my mother always had them and I love being able to pull them out at the holidays and seasons change!  I ran across this DIY wreath from trendytree.com and I just had to make it!

Trendy Tree is this awesome website that not only has products but also great DIY's and the products to complete them! I did not order my supplies from the website, but I wish I had!! I went to Hobby Lobby with my list in hand only to find I had no idea what "flex ribbon" was and neither did anyone at the store!! Of course, by this point I was ready to make my wreath RIGHT THEN! and didn't want to order my supplies and wait for shipping.  I definitely recommend using their site to make sure you have all the right products to make sure you get the best results!

The whole process was super easy! I wish I had taken a photo of all the tulle once I had it cut (my mom was making a wreath as well so we had lots and lots of tulle!!) It is quite time consuming but totally worth it! Even though I didn't have the flex ribbon, I'm really happy with my results! I think mine just isn't quite as full since I only used tulle.  I ended up making a large wreath for our front door, a small wreath for our backdoor and I was just playing around with my leftover ribbon and made a bow for our bar cart (which hasn't been updated for Valentines just yet!)

I will definitely be using Trendy Tree in the future, their YouTube tutorial was super easy to follow, even for someone who isn't super crafty like me!

You can find the full tutorial and supply list here
Note: this wreath is actually from last year so the "kit" is sold out but you can buy the products separately!
